Adjusting the Brahms Sleep Aid®
Getting the Proper Fit for Your Brahms Sleep Aid®

Dear Brahms Sleep Aid User,

The BSA is made of special stainless steel wire with unique “memory” properties and is quite strong. The design and materials make the BSA fully and completely adjustable.

The BSA is not a “one size fits all”, since all noses are different.  You cannot damage the device by bending it, when you first open the sealed package you must adjust it for the desired fit on your unique nose.  The goal is to open your nostrils to allow for more oxygen intake and have the BSA stay comfortably in place. Your persistence in attaining a correct fit should produce a favorable outcome.

Adjusting the Brahms Sleep Aid

Adjustment is both horizontal and vertical so it will open your nose for added oxygen intake and stay in place.  Do not randomly start bending the coated wires. You may dramatically change the BSA shape and not be able to reestablish this engineered starting point.  This could void the guarantee.  Adjust the BSA in steps.

First: Make the horizontal adjustment to push the nostrils open.  When you are satisfied with this result, Proceed to step two.

Second:  Start with the nose pads adjusted 1/8- 1/4 inch apart to assure proper tension to hold the device in place. Make the vertical adjustment of the pads upward and in along the bridge of your nose to hold the device in place.  Stand in front of a mirror to adjust and mimic this position of the device as in the photo.

Adjust the device one step at a time until a little uncomfortable and back off a tad for comfort. There must be enough pressure inside of the nostrils to open for additional oxygen intake.  If the BSA will not properly stay in place, repeat Step Two more aggressively. It may take 3 or 4 nights to get used to a device such as this in your nose.

To assure that the BSA stays in place, wipe the bridge of your nose and the pads of the BSA with a damp cloth to remove any residual body oil.

A complete absence of snoring using the Brahms Sleep Aid depends on many physical and anatomical conditions such as obesity, body mass, neck size, deviated septum, polyps, blockage, sinusitis, etc.  We do know, however, that in anecdotal user trials over 90% of trial user responders reported improvement in breathing and snoring.

The Brahms Sleep Aid is not recommended or indicated for sleep apnea.
